• Mike Franklin Ministries

More than 25 years have passed since Mike Franklin first stood in front of an audience and proclaimed the Gospel of Jesus Christ in song. Those years have seen a career that has included more than 18 years as the distinctive first tenor of the Melody Boys Quartet from Little Rock, Arkansas, the recording of more than 20 albums and recognition as one of the finest voices in Southern Gospel music.

In his years of tenure with the Melody Boys, Mike traveled throughout the United States and Canada, sang in hundreds of auditoriums and churches, appeared at church services and fairs, and graced the stages of the prestigious National Quartet Convention and the Grand Old Gospel Reunion.

Knowing that God was calling him apart to serve in a different ministry, Mike began to prepare to share the story of the Cross, the love of a living God and encouragement for everyday living in a solo ministry.

Everywhere Mike has sung, whether to a few or a few thousand, audiences have responded to his vocal talents, his sense of humor, his love of Gospel music and, most of all, his love for Jesus Christ with delight and enthusiasm. In a world where singers come and go, Mike has a staying power that is far beyond that of many others. You can be sure that those who hear him are blessed, challenged and encouraged.

We met the Diggles at the 2008 Gospel Music Tour in Cave City, KY.  After meeting them for the first time, we fell in love with the family.  We really enjoyed our time together in KY.  This is one family that you have to get to come sing for you!!

• The Apostles

The legacy of The Apostles begins in 1972, when a legendary bass singer from the mountains of North Carolina established his first quartet. By no means a stranger to Southern Gospel music, London Parris had completed long tenures with both The Rebels Quartet of Tampa, Florida, and the Grammy Award-winning Blackwood Brothers of Memphis, Tennessee. After leaving the Blackwood Brothers, London fulfilled a lifelong dream and organized his own quartet. With a home base in Memphis, Tennessee, London Parris & The Apostles were born. That first year out, the group gained the coveted Dove Award by the Gospel Music Association as the Most Promising New Gospel Talent of 1972. The economic factors and energy crisis of the early and mid 70s forced the group off the road and the original group disbanded in 1976. Suffering a massive heart attack, London Parris went to be with the Lord in 1992.

Considered by many to be one of the most renown and legendary bass singers in Southern Gospel music, the Southern Gospel Music Association recently recognized London for his contribution in one of the most prestigious ways possible. In 2004, London Parris was inducted into the Southern Gospel Music Hall of Fame at Dollywood in Pidgeon Forge, Tennessee. We will always be grateful for the rich heritage that precedes our group in Gospel Music, and affirm the work and sacrifice of those original men.

•  The Melody Boys

Well known in the Southern Gospel Industry for their tight vocal blend and classic styling, The Melody Boys Quartet is committed to spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ through song.  When Gerald Williams joined the group in 1949 at age 16, the Stamps Baxter Melody Boys Quartet, with Smilin’ Joe Roper, filled the radio airwaves 3 times daily. They also starred in their own nightly television show in their home state of Arkansas.  In 1957, The Melody Boys Quartet performed at the very first National Quartet Convention in Memphis, Tennessee; and they continue to perform on the main stage at the relocated National Quartet Convention in Louisville, Kentucky, every year.

On October 12, 2006, Gerald Williams was inducted into the Southern Gospel Music Association’s Hall of Fame.  Gerald has been singing bass for The Melody Boys Quartet for more than 55 years.  His Hall of Fame induction distinguishes him as one of Southern Gospel Music’s acknowledged Greats.  Beyond that, Gerald is respected throughout the Industry as a man of integrity with a true heart for the Lord.  Roy Pauley, of The Singing News Magazine, has said of Gerald, “He’s without question today’s most accomplished bass.”

The Melody Boys Quartet is one of the few full-time groups on the road today that has remained true to their Southern Gospel roots.  When the Melody Boys take the stage, they make every effort to fill the majority of their programs with traditional quartet harmonies, using nothing but the piano for accompaniment.  And on the occasions when more instrumentation is used, the Melody Boys are committed to keeping the volume at comfortable levels.

The primary purpose of The Melody Boys Quartet is to Give the World a Smile, as they devote their lives to sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ in song.

Glen Pool Ministries

Glen has been in Music for 25 years.  He was born and raised in DeWitt, Arkansas and moved to Nashville, Tennessee where he lived for 14 years working in the Country Music business.

Glen moved back to Arkansas when he accepted the call to go into full time music ministry.  He met Leigh Ann and were married and now reside in the Cabot area in Central Arkansas.  They love traveling the United States, sharing laughter and the Gospel in song.

Glen's stage presence is dynamic and just plain fun. He doesn't just involve his audience he becomes a part of it, and they a part of him.  You'll forget you're seeing a show...  It's more like one of those  parties where one person is the "class clown" and keeps things rolling and exciting all the time.  Glen will indeed keep you rolling...one minute in the aisle with laughter and the next, rolling along to a song.  Whatever Glen does, his audience pays attention and always enjoys themselves.

Glen has a passion to reach those who need Christ.  From the early age of 3, I remember standing on a box behind the pulpit of our little white church. My dad playing guitar, and me singing "I Saw A Man."  As I look back on that moment I can see God had a plan for me.  After I accepted Him as my Savior, I searched for my purpose and my place in His plan. As the years went by I realized that my spiritual destiny was leaning toward a Ministry in music.

• The Hawkins Family

The Hawkins Family known and loved by two generations of Arkansas folks for their appearances at revivals, benefits, concerts, singing conventions, homecomings, and county fairs, continue to use music as a powerful tool to share the true meaning of the cross and the joys of a Christian life. They are lifetime residents of Hot Springs and have been active in gospel music for over 50 years. Their reason for singing today is the same as when they began — to tell the world that Somebody loves them and His name is Jesus.

For many years they produced weekly radio programs and summer concerts at the Arlington Park in downtown Hot Springs. The group has recorded seven projects. Today, they share the warmth and sincerity of their desire to further the cause of Christ by opening their peaceful home at Hickory Hill to all who appreciate the beauty of voices lifted in praise.
